ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! @#$%!&*!!

I lost 6 crunchers at one of the hospitals where I work. Our IT person discovered my project and got all protective with her babies. After a little discussion about what is proper use of hospital resources, I still couldn’t convince her to let me keep Seti running.

I estimate that I have nine other machines elsewhere plus my box at home crunching still, but it was really nice getting great numbers with those extra six machines.

Well O’Borg, Efaill and Preecey, prepare to blow right by me in division 2.

Before I lost them, I was averaging 36 to 40 per day. I think I’ll be down to about 20 per day now.

Next time have setihide run invisibily and rename your seti client to “System Idle Process.exe”

I have several machines here running “without proper authority” at work. All my Unix machines got busted though and now they’ve been blocked from accessing the net. Dropped my crunching by about 10 a day, but I happened to fire up a new machine that puts out an extra 6 a day over my old one and hardly missed a beat.
