Not getting any (WU's) from SETI

I haven’t gotten anything (on either of my computers) for about the last week. Here is a log from tonight:

5/22/2006 5:34:50 PM|SETI@home|Requesting 345600 seconds of new work
5/22/2006 5:34:55 PM|SETI@home|Scheduler request succeeded
5/22/2006 5:34:55 PM|SETI@home|Message from server: No work sent
5/22/2006 5:34:55 PM|SETI@home|No work from project
5/22/2006 5:34:55 PM|SETI@home|Deferring scheduler requests for 2 hours, 50 minutes and 51 seconds

Is anybody else having problems?

Is it time for me to reset or detach the project?

Maybe it has something to do with my optimized clients.

I’m having the same problem from Rosetta and Predictor too. Just a slow time I guess.

Dione is getting the odd Seti workunit but Rhea has had lots of “no work from project” messages for days now, and I have been too busy to worry about it. I imagine it is related to the changeover to the Enhanced (version 5.*) clients. Have a look at some of the threads on the Seti@home boards. I will probably be upgrading my clients on Thursday.

i get old WUs from Setienhanced

from 1999

i think we have crunched this…

i think Berkeley has no new WUs, and they think the tricky with Seti Enhanced

will take us over until what…

Sir Ulli

Thanks for responding… Droid, Michael, and Sir Ulli.

I’ll have to check-out Berkley’s BOINC site again. The last time I was there,
I thought I saw that they would be updating the SETI client automatically
when they started downloading the work units that were targeted for the
enhanced version.

They seem to be lagging a bit behind on their Technical News.

guys if you have the optimised version then delete it and restart boinc and will then download the new update

I deleted the app_info.xml file in

C:\Program Files\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu (Win XP Pro)

Quit boinc, restarted boinc, went to projects, update, and it updated.
Fell about laughing at the tasks/update time, grabbed a can, recovered,
But it trundles along nicely… On my aging P4 533, 'bout 5hrs 33min per unit

But, hey, a crunch is a crunch is a crunch.

Thanks for the info on removing the optimised client. Unfortunately, Berkeley’s servers are down at the moment, so I still can’t get any work. Just have to wait it out…

Don’worry 'sheffy, knew what you meant

And yep, it’s red and orange across the server stats at the mo. (sigh)
Still, manually managed to shove one 5 1/2 hour unit up.

Keep trundeling them in folks. All good fun (urk!)

Hey Berkley up and running again

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Getting SIMAP and Predictor, but nowt from Rosetta as yet. Keep waiting…

Yipee!! …

Thanks everybody!!

Nope the Tapes are is not in any order tapes that split are randomly grabed from the “To be crunched” bin. But the yes expect old tapes to be cruch in enhanced because enhanced does more.

but old data does not me no new data. nor is it “make work”
