Funny how AMD/ATi have managed to support their full product line, go nVIDIA! :sigh:
The NVIDIA Forceware 100.54 release that was available on the Vista launch day lacked support for SLI, had a sluggish hi-resolution OpenGL implementation and the HDTV support was basically crippled.
I did read somewhere due to various reasons HDTV isntso HDTV on vista meanining if you playanything HD readdy it wont apear as goodas it should.
cant remember wherei read it butsurly thatwould explainsomeof it?

Every time I read NVidia’s excuses about Vista I think much the same thing…
Oh… as a Nvidia user and supporter I guess this is one more reason to not use vista.
NVidia themselves have a roadmap which says it will be another couple of months before they have good support for their cards in Vista, so yes this would kinda point to not being an “early adopter” :sigh:
I read something similar about Vista not displaying HD content in all its glory due to licensing or some such… it would display it, but at a lower quality.

Beta 101.41 is working quite well for me here on Vista 64 bit - no SLI for 7 series yet but seems pretty stable and works OK.
I spent about half of yesterday banging my head against the wall yesterday trying to get my nVIDIA nic working in Vista64, thinking it was a driver issue…
turns out the nic was faulty :doh:.
Apparently the full release of 101.41 which is out now support SLI for 6 and 7 series card.
Oops, you need the Guru3D driver me thinks.
