Yep, theres VW and Audi logos all over the place.

I looked for the one that said “Kenwood Chef”
It wasn’t obvious to the untrained eye but I know its in there somewhere.

Having driven a hunded miles or so in it I can say “It corners well”.
I assumed that Clarkson and co were just being snobby when taking the mickey out of the 924 as they always had much better toys to play with.

However

  • the handbrake is under the drivers door pocket
  • the heaviest gearchange I’ve ever met, makes the Galaxy feel like a sports car
  • no boot space, its like the Tardis in reverse. They seem to have reserved the space for a mid engine design and put the engine in the front to fool people.
  • The biggest sunroof on the planet with the biggest leaks to match

And as for “If only everything was as reliable as a Volkswagen . . .” the very first time I dumped the clutch at 5,000 rpm to see how it would fishtail up the road . . . . It spat out the alternator.

All it needs now is the TFW-Labs© seal of approval stamp and it can go back on Ebay

On the positive side I did haggle the seller down to £340 and he gave me a spare alternator which seemed a strange thing to include but I now know why :folleyes:

From the picture the bodywork seems OK. Can’t you just it off and stick on and old VW1303? :smiley:
