I just ran a sync script off my laptop backing up onto my linux rig. most of the files came from the linux rig to the laptop (laptop = windows)

But three files were photos and got copied onto the linuxrig. These now appear as user = nobody and I cant seem to change it wven via root! It appeared I caould change access for them so I now have read and write.

Am I stuck with these being nobodys?

“chown” as root should change owner even if you specify a duff UID. Seems strange??

Your right, chown worked.

Yet I didn’t try it because I was browsing nautilus as root to change it. :shrug:
