I have Vista 64 installed on a spangaly new shuttle dual core.
I try and install vmware and it seems to go fine but when i watch carefully it gets almost to the end and then starts to roll back, eventually telling me that the wizard was interrupted and nett result is a few files placed on the hard drive but no actual install done. Tried downloading it again, tried running as elevated admin… all no different. Any clues peeps ?
You need VMWare Workstation 6 BETA for Vista. VMWare server will not install under Vista64 (as you already noticed :p).
I’ve got a bookmark for a guide at home, which I can post later.
Oh, will also need to use the flag in this post to allow unsigned drivers.
