Progress on Project Phoenix

this might give binky a run for its money

It has some good spec including an intel optane nvme drive :rofl:and UPS board for some no mains running thats stage 2 batteries in base to look like the old phase change unit to complete the look of the old 2004 rig

but does it have a good bracket…..

At the moment Highly likely to fall apart at the slightest hint of a looking at  but progressing slowly and getting stronger :flexed_biceps: by the month, only really getting on average a day a month to work on it. As for the PI i did get steam running and an old version of counterstrike runnning on it

Actually its safe to say its has alot in common with spacex experimental space rocket at the moment as quite often suffers a ‘RUD’ Rapid unscheduled Disassembly :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Perfectly normal i heard, happens to the best of us; so am told

Thats the LCD screen glued in and running successfully though i am somewhat puzzled how its working as i have the 3.3v power lead disconnected

 Cooler Master top logo inplace:grin:

You should of asked me if you wanted something machined, you tart !

Sarge.

This is a very much a do it myself project  but the offer is not without appreciation :+1:. It’s not ment to be perfect though, heck the old phase change rig was never perfect but I always had the honor and knowing that i built it all by myself for which it will be the same with my PI5 case

It is a work in progress going through an “Iteration” process as I work things out then realise nah thats not going to work as i thought  :rofl::rofl:

Pleased so far though, still awaiting some bits to progress next stages. Power button is made just not fitted yet so ignore that . Bit way off on the making of the replication of the phase change base bit that on this will hold batteries to power the unit instead.
