A mate in the BX16v club had his 16v nicked from his driveway earlier this week. It was parked with no Tax or MOT (but SORNed) and according to neighbours, a couple of blokes pulled up in a blue Ford Cargo truck, hooked a chain through the windows, lifted it onto the truck and drove off. The Police say they’ve had a few similar complaints and it ISNT an official remove-abandonded-cars operation. Apart from that my mate knows the bloke who does it for the area and vice versa.
If you happen to live near Northampton and visit scrapyards, please keep an eye open for a red BX16v, reg ABX16V. Being a 16v theres a chance the engine/box will be cut out to be shoehorned into a Pug 205 - if you know any Pug owners about to buy a 16v motor please let them know too. Engine number is 004070.
