RIP Jack Tramiel - Founder of Commodore

Jack Tramiel - Founder of Commodore died on the 8th April 2012.

My very first computer was a Commodore 64, I bought one of the very early ones, and still have it tucked away in my loft. Everyone around me at that time were buying Spectrums. When I first bought mine games were few and far between and took a while before a decent choice became available. For quite a few years I stayed loyal to Commodore, my C64 was followed by an Amiga - which is also tucked away in the loft.

RIP Jack.

same story here, first was the C64, followed by the Amiga and then moved to a 486sx33 iirc

Commodore vs Atari watch much more fun than the current Intel/Amd wars

A visionary for sure, a good innings though

RIP

DT.

I was a late starter and my first was an Amiga 600. Still remember my first game, Dune 2, bought at Game for about £30. Spent many an hour playing it.
God bless Jack
