I just installed a new mobo, proc, etc
did a fresh install of windows, boinc, etc…
but everytime I try to download a rosetta WU, they keep failing…

Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.0ghz per core (stock)

and similar error messages?
worked fine last night with the same hardware but an old install of windows and boinc, but had to to fresh install due to issues with the nforce3 windows install and the new nforce4 mobo…
You might have to reset rosetta. The error you are showing is the md5 checksum is failing, meaning a bit here and bit there are being scrambled in transit or the entire w/u is bad from the server end.
1)Clean that drive Dezy, start>accessories>system tools>disk clean up. Get rid of your temporary files, compress old files, clear up the IE storage, etc.
2)Mp3’s, movies, old data in your documents folders, get them over to CD/DVD, spare drive, usb Hard Drive, something and get them off your main drive to keep space open for programs, windows swap file, windows updates, the works.
3)Any unused programs, games, and other applications you haven’t used in months, get the uninstalled to free up that wasted space.
4)After, defrag that beast.
Another thing, log into your rosetta account on the rosetta website and edit your general and rosetta config settings, be disk % used and others. But this setting is setup so you don’t overload your drive and have the windows swap file not have any room to expand and write, safety setting, so don’t make it to large, default in my case is to large for my taste, but don’t see editing it personally.
I keep getting “not enough disk space” it sat 2 days doing nothing so back on d2ol now
