rpm problem

I’m trying to install some stuff on my laptop (running Fedora Core 1) by using “Add/Remove Applications”. Specifically I’m trying to add all the “X Software Development” and “GNOME Software Development” packages but it keeps warning me:

A quick check throws up:

netpbm is installed but it’s not having any joy with XFree86xxxx… what am I doing wrong? Bearing in mind I am a relevant n00b

you and me both riddlermarc… only thing I could suggest wouls be re-installing the missing “dependancies”… maybe off your distro cd if you don’t have the b/w to pull down the latest ver’s.

of course you could always try compiling from source  :hehehmm:

I’ve no clue about packages in fedora, but on the second command in the screenshot, is it case sensitive? If so, try a capital F.
