Scart / AV woes...

ok
too many scart devices to go into the telly… so I bought a scart centre gizmo (first a cheapy one at argos, but it ‘didnt work’) - a joytech av center 2.

Anyway - wired it up and…

no signal on AV1 or AV2 on telly (Scart)
AV3 (front inputs) work.

AV1 and AV2 work ok with just the individual items plugged straight in…
just when powered ‘hub’ devices are used, it doesnt want to display anything :frowning:

Its a reasonably new TV - Panasonic Quintrix DigiTV.

The head starts spinning with all these RGB/SCART/S-Video/Composite thingies…

so - can any mindreaders out there offer any advice ?

What are you plugging into it mate?

The TV is a panasonic TX-28DTX1
The scart thingy is a Joytech AV Centre 2
XBox, DVD, PS2, freeview, video are all to go through the AV centre

I cant appear to change the input of AV1 or 2 on the TV to/from composite/rgb etc, but AV1 is supposed to accept RGB.

I’m going to go through all possible combinations (after the footy).

Make sure your connecting the av hub to the telly using a fully wired scart lead - one with all the pins in

yep - did that.

Got it working, and heres how…

Got several scart leads - all with all of their pins.
All inputs to av centre have to be usign the SCART
Out put to TV has to be via the scart.

or inputs to AV Centre have to be with audio l/r and video cables
output to tv with same cables.

now if they’d only just said that in the first place!
Here was me thinking i could have s-video/video/scart in, and scart out to TV.

for 60 quid i would expect it to work, but given the previous issues with the tv (other scart box not working), i dunno.
not being an AV buff, maybe this is how stuff works

did the sony asplode then

asplode - is that, like, when your arse explodes after a curry ?
