How do i set it up so people outside my network can use it?
On your router (assuming you are running one) you will need to forward port 5517 to the machine running the Queue.
For settings, just check out the settings of any queues already in use by TPR.
So what happens when i set subnetmask to 255?
It works like a filter for each of the four numbers.
Examples:
IF 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
=> open for IPs: 192.168.0.n
IF 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
=> open for IPs: 192.168.n.n
IF 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.0.0.0
=> open for IPs: 192.n.n.n
IF 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 0.0.0.0
=> open for IPs: n.n.n.n
BTW Since I am back on fast DSL TPR queue is open again:D
A few things still zu smooth, but that should work with minimum downtimes (reboots) spread over the next 1 - 2 weeks.
So i need a good firewall, and set netmask 0.0.0.0?
Btw does it connect automaticaly, or do i have to set it to do so?
That is the subnet mask setting of SETIqueue, not your network.
And you need a good firewall anyway, especially if you publish that your computer has an ‘open door’.
For the SETIqueue settings check my queue or any other of the public queues.
