To be truthful I would have probably have had to agreed to TC’s demands anyway, least this way I get something out of it

It does in our part of the UK. So I understand, someone tried to take the local health authority to court because they got it wrong.

I guess with a government run system there is always someone who will say “don’t tell them, they might abort the girls” or some such rubbish.
There are several testing methods. As my wife was 38 years old an in depth examination was made of chromosomes. Also she had a full color cat scan with moving video done. It is impossible to watch that and not know what you have (in our case a girl). Just looking at a sonogram is not always accurate.
We didn’t want to find out but with the scans it was impossible not to know even if the doctors and nurses did not let the details slip.
