Is there a way to control such.:furious:
I seem to specialize in watches and Viagra these days.
I really would like to get a handle on this, worth paying for.

I don’t know how they do it, but I know my e-mail keeps asking myself if I want V1@gra and other personal services
spoofing the from address and the reply-to address is a very simple thing to do, through pretty much any open smtp server, of which there are many.
I would advise setting up SPF DNS records, the more people that do the better the chance the project has of making a difference. Essentially a SPF record in your DNS settings for your domain specifies the IP addresses of server that are allowed to send emails with the from as {yourdomain}.
If you want any help, RTFM then ask me again
DT.
I use boxtrapper and other server side tools to stop 99% of the crap email from getting in. I looked at the log the other day, and 100+ emails to each address every day…seems they would get idea that nothing is getting in…but oh well bots being bots try as they must…nothing is getting in unless I allow it. DT is right on the openspf it does work, and works well, but check to see if you already have tools in place that may help.
As I only access my mail on line through my ISP and my e-mail addy has been out in the wild for a long time, is this something that would have to be set up by the ISP?

Gee that gave me a headache!
If I understand this right, it should be even easier since I have a dedicated IP for the domain. Also could set up the e-mail accounts under our SSL… if that helps any?
Ok I’ll see if I can do this:sigh:
Another thought, there are several accounts that are being used around the globe… so would that cause an issue in setting up sense there is several SMTP/ISP’s sending.
Don’t be surprised if you get an e-mail from a whining crying little me:D
I have received too many complaints from people getting e-mail thought to be from us.

Well… Just found out my host supports SPF and has a wonderful wizard(for dummies)
So now we have to wait and see
