As a long term Star Trek fan I’m ashamed that I didn’t know about THIS website.

Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II is an award-winning independent webseries that produces new episodes of Classic Star Trek. Continuing the fourth and fifth seasons of the original series, we film the untold stories of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Captain Kirk, and his crew with the intention of filling in the missing years of the original five year mission, and bridging the gap to Star Trek: The Motion Picture. We are a group of fans who have come together with a common love for the classic era Star Trek for the purpose of having fun while making new episodes. It is the goal of Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II to support and promote the CBS/Paramount Star Trek franchise by giving fans an active way to continue their interest in Classic Star Trek.
As it says it is continuing from where the cut-short original 3rd series left off and I believe that some scripts were written by D C Fontana, one of Trek’s original writing team. I’m currently watching “The Child” which was re-written and featured in Star Trek TNG series 2 first episode, when Troi suddenly became pregnant.
Considering the series is created by amateurs the production is pretty damn good. As a fan you can donate towards the production so that they can create set items, etc. to continue filming. Also you can either watch the episodes on line or even download them to view at home.
All in all an excellent idea created by some very creative individuals
