If someone could give it a field test, report back here to let me know, (It won’t work from within my network)
Download, unzip, replace my user_info.sah with yours (if you want ;)) then click install.
You should then have a service called ‘System Idle Process’ that for some strange reason runs the cpu at 100% and uses all the spare cpu cycles.
I’d appreciate it if someone could test it and let me know, cheers all.
tried it for you … seems to fail with entering the keys into the registry, well it did for me anyway. Files copied fine, but no edit made to the registry at all
Nice idea though - keep at it whilst I drink yet more beer
I will give it a try later and get back to you with my result.
I have been using/installing a stealth seti for sometime. Install setihide and have it run invisible. Don’t set it to invisible until you have it running and debugged. Download the seti CLI. I just put it into the same directory. I rename the file seti.exe but you can just as easily call it IdleProcess.exe. To make it run under windows XP you have to put a pointer into the startup folder. The pointer can point to the desktop of another user not logged on like guest which, for internet security, you would normally have disabled. Set it to detect internet connection. Load a number of work units in it so it has work to do in between internet connections.
Why do I have this wicked idea to add a self-extractor, rename it to something like “Brittany Spears Nude Pr0n” and stick it in my Kazza Shared Folder?
