The unknown CPU

Oh those thoughts have been already rampaging through my mind.
The need for speed is taunting me like an overactive bladder. ~smiles~

I used the AMD software to let mine overclock itself just to see where it would go. It hit 4.0GHz, but was unstable under full load. However, that was without voltage tweaking. I haven’t o/c’d mine, but if I do I expect I can maintain the 4.0GHz and possibly go higher.

I like the idea of the hex core. Just wish I could afford the upgrade at the mo. STuck with my Athlon X2’s at the mo :frowning:

Some days just want to make you scream!

Board wont fit in the box!
5 days to get a board that will, nope no good.

So moving it all over to another box. Took the Cooler Master Gladiator 600.
I’m going to bed before I go broke.

You will feel good about it once your CPU is running at 100% (or more) of it’s potential and the Docking results start rolling in.

Yep looking forward to seeing results. Wish I could have gotten a better box, but for a low cost box it has some good reviews.
Other then not coming with rear exhaust fan I like the features. Going to mount the one from the old box there though.

That’s a nice case. It has the important vents: full front, side, rear, top. Looks nice too!

Thanks…
Yet the situation deepens.
Old video card was part of the old motherboard, damn manufacturers.
So yes, now a new video card needs to go in also.

So guess it’s time for a short skirt, strap on the portable O2 and work the street corner.
of course they’re paying me to go back into the house instead of dirty deeds. ~smiles~

Darn was just thinking, (dangerous I know) I wish I hadn’t pist-off “Real Phenom”, sure he had some spare cards.

I do like the case. Shame about your old mobo Heidi.:frowning:

Well if I have to say so myself, looks pretty darn cool.

Went ahead and wiped the hard drive to get rid of all the old junk that wont be used. Well the HD was the only piece left not replaced anyhow.

So it’s updating all MS updates now.
All programs are stored on my site, so easy to install.

Hopefully by afternoon at the latest it will be crunching away!

I’ll send pics and specs later.

This thread started out in the right place about docking. ~smiles~

Happy girl with new toy!
Later.

Enjoy… And nice to see you back crunching

Well here is the current speccy before all loaded up.

Basic stuff, still have a lot to install and set, but. . . BOINC installed and is getting ready to go for a run.
Pics later, looks like a war zone in here at the moment

Temps at 100% for about 30min.
Six fans
front, top, 2 back, GFX fan, and of course CPU fan.
So far very pleased with the outcome.

Asst Images.

Your temps are right in line with mine. I was worried there for a moment you’d outdo me… :stuck_out_tongue:

once those cables are all nice and neat with some cable ties, that’ll be a nice looking rig  :Poke:

DT.

@Egad
Guess I better throw a few more ice cubes in the box.
of course the ambient temp in the room was over 28c because of my O2 concentrator. Coming for you!

@DoubleTop
Well there is a box of about 500 wire ties in front of me. . . hmm, guess a little tidying up would be in order. :chuckle:Fine if it makes you happy
