The Vista nono list

Grrr,

I’m warming to it as an easy on the eye OS, but having spent out with the subscriptions to get it etc etc, now it seems there is a few others tha I now need to update. So I thought, what would be usefull is a list of ‘real person’ software that doesn’t work on Vista, not just the list of things that MS think we use. I suppose we could add sites that IE7 hates as well, as there are plenty of them, most annoyingly my own routers web interface :sigh:

listed basically because all those years ago I spent out and brought this stuff, and rather miffed to say the least that I now have a few quids worth of useless software. By useless I mean not usable on a Vista machine :frowning:

DT.

Logitech Quickcam Messenger driver and software and Nero 7.5. They say it works but it doesn’t.

Anything from nVidia.
SLI graphics card setups.

When I had a tinker, it didn’t like AVG Free 7.5 - might have another go later with a newer installer.

Would it be safe to add Vista itself

Last I looked AVG does not support it

AVG does, installed last night and all is working 100%.

Download and install latest version.

:D:D

I’m running AVG 7.5 without problems. Anything older won’t work. WinDVD 8 runs but when I try to activate it it causes an error and closes. No reply yet from intervideo tech support

Juggy - I have the latest Nero 7.7.5.1 that runs ok for me

Does not support 64-bit Vista (or any other 64-bit operating system for that matter)
