If anyone started at least one thread per day, somewhere on the forums it would generate more interest overall.
Another problem is, that we always need more members, due various reasons people leave, if they are not replaced the forums will decline.
I will step down as Mod in this forum and let someone else have a go, who will hopefully will have greater enthusiasm

Frankly I dont see much mod intervention on any of the forums and that’s the way it should be.

It’s something I have been thinking about for ages, I’m not stepping down because Tony’s leaving (I should not have posted in this thread tbh) It’s because I’m not that enthusiast about Seti ATM, so I would like to pass on the modship to someone else, who hopefully will put more into the forum than I can
Shame to see you go tony. But leaving will only make it more quiet. Why not stay and try to make a differance hey

Perhaps in the light of day and after the hangover you will see things more clearly and change your mind.

Your first point is correct Richard, we are all drunk, and we are all drunk all of the time. It’s the only way to be. Getting drunk and happy and doing SETI is better than anything I can think of.
If Tony is serious about leaving, then good luck to him wherever he goes, it’s his choice.
I’ve struck up many a friendship through being with SKZ and then TPR and I’ll not leave. Sometimes the forums are quiet, sometimes they aren’t, but what the hell, this is where my friends are, and I don’t ever leave my friends.
At the end of the day, we’re all doing SETI and that’s what’s important. As long as Tony carries on doing SETI it doesn’t really matter if he’s part of a team or not. So, good luck Tony, whatever you decide to do.
And BTW Richard, you aren’t a subject of ridicule, your an important member of the team (well, most days anyway)
