Genome@Home Report

Team Status

Well, there’s been a bit of a bounce back from last week’s low ebb and a welcome return for our lead Genomer andyu  There is still an ongoing issue with stats that Stanford are aware of but unable to correct as Stefan seems to be AWOL although he was supposed to be back and sorting it out on Monday. There have been reassurances that all the stats from returned units are actually being logged but not all are being credited by the stats server (I can testify to the non-credit issue persisting as last night’s upload fell short again).

Visual confirmation (if it is needed) can be gleaned from the Stanford server stats pages showing the recent drop off in stats credit and active CPU’s whilst active teams stays pretty much constant, but these are now also starting to falter a little.

Having waffled all that again ;), it’s worth a noting that these stats issues are affecting everyone and we are remain 17th most productive team this week, although there is now a team below us with a slightly higher production rate, but since they are a mere 260,000 units behind us, they aren’t anything resembling a threat as yet.

Now that’s off my chest, I’m going to continue to repeat the links:

For official information on Genome@home 2.0 (aka Folding@home 3.0), see here, here and here.

To add to that, the F@h client is now @ v3.11 and allows you to specify the type of units you want to receive – Folding, Genome or whatevah. Still no –nonet though

Internal Affairs

First up we have a n00b to our team of Gentleman Genomers, please welcome James_LFC

Right, as usual, starting at the bottom, myrecent usual blurb has been spoiled by James_LFC joining in 43rd, but, as usual, wnyotiel kicks off the main attraction with this week’s victims on the way to 22nd being Spike_TPR, Johnnypf and the Crabbleboys, Ciccio rolls past atopperuk for 18th to round out the week’s movers and groovers, although we anticipate another dump requiring the special TPR protective suits next week from kefkef – some folks need to get peddling fast…

That concludes this week’s (rather brief) sermon

The weekly production stakes sees ciipher taking the honours (still continuing to cause havoc in my Word template as well) and a welcome return for andyu and Ciccio

   Name Units

4. andyu 1123.80
5. Ciccio 570.69

Daily production is always a different kettle of fish where differing –nonet strategies make themselves a little more apparent, top of today’s pile is wnyotiel with welcome appearances from ciipher, Ciccio and Crazydude – well done chaps
