Genome@Home Report

Still plenty to consider with the imminent arrival of Genome@home 2.0 (aka Folding@home 3.0) although the official outlook seems to be changing regularly with possible options to choose the project on install or via config with Genome results continuing to accrue to the current stats being a current possibility. For official information, see here, here and here.

Team Status

Well, we seem to have bottomed out in the production stakes now and have dropped to 18th in the overall production stakes on the week with only Docteur PC (in 60th) of the teams below us are outproducing us and that is only by 600 units on the week. There does appear to be a general reduction in crunch volumes though and out previous peak in production of 18-19k would gain a Top10 production spot ATM whereas it was scraping into the Top15 at the time.

Also this week, we have the possibility to stomp both SkzDaLimit_Distributed_Computing and FreeDC with both being within 6k and currently floundering.

    Team Units Weekly

Internal Affairs

Quiet-ish again inside the team this week, but, as usual, starting at the bottom: Johnnypf makes it a double over Monkeymia and Kaibigan moving up to 23rd in the process, atopperuk continues his upwardly mobile trend with mrpants being the unwilling victim this week, Scoobie has obviously noticed some Scoobie Snacks up ahead as he flies past madDragon and JUGEARS at pace for the last action of the week. That’s it this quiet week, except to bandy a few stats about…

In the weekly production stakes, Alta_Rica re-takes the dumpage crown with andyu recovering from his F@H3 practice and ciipher moves retains 3rd spot. A welcome appearance from one of our longest standing and steadiest crunchers at #5 – well done Crazydude

  Name Units

1 Alta_Rica 2392.31
2 TPR_Mulda 1260.24
3 ciipher 1244.54
4 andyu 1056.79
5 Crazydude 719.42

Daily production is always a different kettle of fish where differing –nonet strategies make themselves a little more apparent, but good going on the part of ciipher, Crazydude and woof as they all make it into the daily big hitters.

  Name Units

Milestones

A double celebration for Alta this week, and a big congrats to woof – one of our merry band of unsung Genome heroes

Alta_Rica…30,000 units

Alta_Rica…2,000 genes
woof…250 genes

And here she is, today’s FHM girl, Alex Leigh

Well done peeps, good to see we are at least still keeping up even with all the uncertainty of the new clients etc.

As for stomps, well, FreeDC could possibly already be out of the running  and if nitRAM drops his stash, we should be getting past Skz soon also.

 Riddler!!! Get practicing with your duster mate, me and Nit boy are on our way!!!

Thanks for a fine report, Mulda

Alex - Mmmmmm

And well done team for a fine weeks effort

Bloody ingrates… there’s me diverting all powah to SETI to avoid a stomp by OcUK and you tinkers sneak up and try to take me roughly from behind

If I wasn’t having such fun finally having SETIQ working etc I’d return to Gnoming and paddle your derrieres!

Nice reporting Mulda  Splendid laydeee too
