I’ve been wanting to load FC3 to a machine I’m putting together but for some reason, I cannot download the iso files. I’ve hit the main site and multiple mirrors and the download always begins well. It will run for a few minutes and then suddenly stops. It happens from Firefox or IE or going through the ftp sites. It will pull anywhere from 25 - 150 MB. Any ideas? This is a Win2k box I’m trying to DL from.
Try linuxiso.org
Either that or use the official torrents listed here: http://torrent.dulug.duke.edu/
I just tested the http://torrent.dulug.duke.edu/heidelberg-binary-i386.torrent torrent and it’s feeding me > 200KB/sec on my 2MB DSL
Probably all the geeks playing with FC4 overloading the official sites again , the torrent is always reliable though .
Never used the torrents before, does it require certain software to access?
I use http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/ , is simple to use and fairly efficient
