Uploading to webspace problems, I think...

Recently, any files I have uploaded or edited within my webspace haven’t been available.

For example, one of the files I have uploaded recently is:

http://www.acidtrax.net/junk/twin.gif

But I can’t see it in my web browser. Neither can anyone else I’ve asked.

I know it’s there as I can see it from within my ftp app.

I have also edited the main page, but this hasn’t followed through to web browsing either.

I’ve asked my hosting company for help, still awaiting an answer.

Anyone got any ideas of what I could try in the meantime?

I use explorer for my FTP stuff - but one thing to check but might need someone else to mention what its called, but you normally have 2 types of upload modes in terms of how the file is transmitted to the host.

if its the wrong format it won’t display, not sure what your using but also make sure that
any FTP’ing of files carry the accessmode to allow execution of file. forget what the chmod
spec is for that.

As your with HU, did you get migrated to a different server ?? Because that is what was happening to me as my FPT was still set to pure ip address. I now use ftp.mydomain.com and it all works fine and dandy.

Your site was moved over to pan, HU’s newest server after MYSQL failed big time on the server you were hosted on bibby info on it here on the HU forums http://www.hosting-unlimited.net/forums/ I move your account over to the new server myself,

It still would have been nice to have been told by HU how it would have affected my ftp though. :slight_smile:

all clients on the server were send a email out, but you won’t have receved it if you don’t full out your contact info in cpanel…

But I have filled out my contact email address in my cpanel…
