£110

Im not looking for big power ICE just some decent bass to give some depth to the music I play, moslty Rock and Hip Hop with a little Dance when called for, my budget would be around £100 or go without at this time.

So whats peoples thoughts?

Depends how loud you want to go I guess.
I have a 12" Infinity in a sealed box powered by a small bridged Alpine amp (100w RMS I think, its small enough that I’ve attached it to the top of the sub box) and that supplied enough boom that on tracks like “Deeper Underground” by Jamiroquoi the thump is enough to give me backache. The rest of my system is powered of the head unit and doesnt get overawed by the Sub.
Then again I listen to Rock, Blues and suchlike rather than Bassmental stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

Did find this, one part of the best buy ( amp+sub ) in a few mags now

http://www.newimagecarhifi.com/product_details.asp?company_name=Pioneer&product_id=PIOTSW305C

would need a amp to handle it and wiring though

What else have you got in the car m8?

The topic has now gone as Ive got two new harnesess to play with instead, realised I dont listen to much music in the teg thanks to the sound of the car  .

My setup:

Alpine 7893r Headunit. (MP3, bass expander model, orange buttons)

Alpine SPR-176 component speakers

speaker cable upgrade (was free)
split, with the tweeters in the door, crossovers in the footwell and the mid speaker in the back behind the driver

Well if you do come across some spare cash and want to improve the sound, I’d suggest an amp for the comps before a sub. Soundproofing the doors/panels, expecially behind the mids would also help loads.

Good heads the Alpines.

Soundproof…Integra…/me faints

You saying it’s already soundproof…or un-soundproof-able?

Dynamat or flashing tape (b&q - Aquaseal) on every visible panel in the boot, on the wheel arches especially, rip off the doorcards and cover the doorskins, inner and outer, stuff loft insulation/expanding foam into every crevice in the boot, remove all the seats/carpet and same again with dynamat on the floor…

Or you could just do behind the mids.

It makes a huge difference, no matter how good the build quality of the car.

The Integra has so much road noise you can sometimes forget that ur in the car. Its fully stripped out car to save weight and to add soundproof would be agaisnt the ‘r’ ethos

LOL…that’s the trade off, more weight.

Get some headphones.
