Does anyone know:confused: where to get a free tutorial ore book on VC#, not those microsoft videos, downloads too big:wiggle:
Library…
good call step, not many people think about doing that anymore, I know I don’t. it’d mean you can have a look find the right book, take it home for a test run, then save up to buy just the right book
exactly what I told Speedo to do when he mentioned getting some programming books, look on it as a try before you buy

finding the books is easy, ask someone in the libary staff to assist you. i think its a good thing to suppport your local libary as if we dont then we will lose them all.
i have a mate who works for portsmouth libary and she can see the libary service being gone in the next 15-20 years…
really that long ?
id give them less
no. have you SEEN inside a library recently? very little material under 20 years old.
actually that gives me an idea, the libraries could raise funds by opening antigque bookstores!
have you tried looking on pirate bay?
Need to go to better library. My local one has 5 rows (300+) books on C/C+, VB, VB.NET, Access, SQL and the list goes on. It wasn’t that way about 2 years ago. I suggested it being expanded & updated, they took that as a que, and the rest is history. What nice is I donated $50 to the cause, and well its a very use area now. The head of Library thanks me every time I stop in. A library should be more interested in what is used, not what is there already…I would suggest, just asking for more books that cover what people read, they will I’m sure answer your call…
Try this if you want to learn a bit about C#, although it’s written for people using VS2005, it will tie in nicely with any IDE like MonoDevelop, SharpDevelop, Borland Developer Studio…etc…They are all layed out pretty much the same…Enjoy…I’ve read bits and peices and it does get the info across in a good enough way.
