WebDAV, Samba and FTP

Need some help changing messing with various servers.

I’m trying to get my Slug (which is running Debian quite nicely!) so I can access my home folder, where I intended to store all the shares.

Basically I want to be able to access the home folder by WebDAV from work (rather than FTP because of the security) and obviously Samba whilst at home. Samba I can do.

However, the webDAV bit is a bit harder. I know I need to set Lighttpd to use my home as the server root but I also need to change the webserver user to me do I not?

Or if this seems silly, can you offer a different suggestion?

it’s been quite a while, but I thought there was a webdav plugin for apache… and all you need to do is add valid users to .htpasswd file.

apologies if I’m talking out of my proverbial :wink: not seen it for about 4 years :smiley:

That is a webdav pluging for Apache.

Shame I’m using Lighttpd :wink: However I’ve found a guide so it’s a case of trying stuyff until something works!!
