Nope that was made after I left and am glad for those guys and hopefully considering how much extra money Mark saved by me leaving those guys got a pay increase too and not just a title change as they both deserve big pay increases too, good pair of guys.

Just seen that ION system DT mentioned and it looks quite nice… what I’m after as a browsing box (if my Eee connected to a screen and keyboard doesn’t work)
Shame it comes with Xp on though as I’d like to save £30 by not having windows on it as it would only get linux on straight away.

Yep its an 8200 and will get it corrected when I start 5th of January, the website needs quite a bit of work so something for me to get my teeth into.
Also brings back good memories speaking to you because unless I have completely got things confused in my head I believe yo the guy who sold me your IWILL KR266 all those years ago which I shortly reviewed afterwards on the OcUK forums. Anyway expect some good stuff like that on Novatech, I may even look into doing one my heatsink roundups too. 
Anyway a happy Christmas all and yes I shall be posting more often here without a doubt.

GPU and OS Support
Which cards are supported?
We now support several classes of GPU boards, including X1600, X1800, and X1900 series GPUs from ATI. At the launch, we supported X1900 series cards only. X1800 cards do not provide the performance seen in X1900’s and so we strongly recommend X1900 class cards. X1900 and X1800 cards are actually quite different – they have different processors (R520, R530 vs. the R580). The R580 in the X1900 makes a huge difference in performance – its 48 pixel shaders are key, as we use pixel shaders for our computations. Also note that the card should have at least 512MB of RAM, otherwise the GPU client will put a huge load on the client machine (although we do note that the 256MB X1950Pro using PCIe does work reasonably well on current projects).

Been a long time, too long! How are you these days?
Been a very long time, dropped out of seti and so forth for various reasons and never got back into it.
If i was to add everything up i would have to be honest and say not bad at all
It’s been a struggle to get where i am and has taken some hard choices, i’ve made mistakes and am paying for them now in trying to get to where i should have been.
I see your back on HeXus, shame it took what it did for you to come over
Not a nice thing to have done to you esp by some one am guessing you classed has a friend ? but then this is Mark we are talking about.
ps about the heat sink round ups, i think that would be a great idea, checking most of the other HW review sites shows them lacking in this aspect.

Lol yes. jesus that was an awful long time ago!! I’ve pretty much given up on ocuk these days, still order the odd bits but mostly because I know where to find stuff in the online store - akin to going to the same tesco’s because I dont have to look, its just natural where the milk is etc

Was after I had left m8!
I was willing too take a pay cut on the basis I got a share of OcUK and was made director. I was told director was possible but a share of company was a no no, so just a title change and as such I moved on and then the following week Dave and Phil were made directors. Am happy for them as they both decent guys but makes one wonder if Spie did it because he thought it might get too me, I hope not and hope he truly did it because he values those guys as they deserve it.
So nope not part of my decision at all.
Am now settling in nicely at Novatech and truly loving it, such a difference and all for the better.

Edit - What are you guys like on postage? I’ve got free postage with OCUK which is quite a saving, especially on smaller items. I now buy our work stuff through OCUK for this reason.
