Ive recently decided that something is bugging me enough that it need to be sorted… basically I have windows xp extended over two monitors…
But the windows task bar is only on the primary monitor… now I was wondering is there a way to extended that bar over to the other monitor… for free or for cheap ?
Thanks!
the nvidia multispan has this option in the drivers, I don’t seem to recall ever seeing it on an ATI driver/card.

Just had a butchers in the ATI control panel… didnt see anything of use…
Having a look on the net seems there are a few shareware ones… but the sites look really nasty and cheaply made (doesnt make me feel confident shopping from them)
so any other people using dual screen ? got any ideas ?
no rush atm just something I want to sort!
dual screen ati user here… not heard of this but then I’ve never had the need either. Quite happy running fullscreen apps on primary screen and having taskbar + all the other useful stuff on the secondary screen.
Don’t know any of doing it
Drive me nutz having that spanned over 2 screens
I’ve used spanned rather than extended and it’s quite nice actually, you can even do an offset/overlap thing on some drivers to help with the issue of the bezel.

Ultramon is the standard by which others are judged. I’ve been a user for about a year. It lets you use spanned wallpaper, switch windows from one monitor to the other, maximize windows to the entire spanned desktop, and has so many other features I can’t possibly describe them all (or use them). It is one of those apps that has a trial period that times out. You can get around that by registry editing. I paid for it. $40 US, if I remember correctly.
Here is my desktop as an example:
