I know that I’m new here, but in my old team, the different leagues/divisions were based on the number of work units crunched and not just an arbitrary number of people. Perhaps the PL could be those crunching more than 20,000 units, Division 1 between 15,000-19,999, Divsion 2 10,000-14,999 etc.
Just something for you to think about.
I like that idea, stops people feeling like they are always going backwards

Have a Jedi Council league for the 50K plus (all 9 of them)
and make all other leagues, premier included as 50 slots.
I like the idea of 50 per division starting with premier and to have as many divisions as it takes. I understand the last division may have to have more as there might be more than that with zero or something close to it.

not at all m8… I’ll be crunching till the day they turn the project off or they take me away kicking and screaming… the latter will probably happen first
You don’t sound too well there pal… maybe you should see a doctor
I Agwee with the wabbit. 40k+ jedi council league. how about the other leagues delineated (nice word, eh?) by one of the b0rkley milestones? eg. Prem / jedi council = 40k+, Div 2 = 25k+, Div 3 = 10k+, div 4 = 5k+, div 5 = 2.5k+, div 6 = 1k+, div7 = 750+, div8 = 500+, div9 = 100+, div10 = 0+
I agree with M@TT that people won’t feel like they are going backwards. If the Leagues are based on number of work units, then you know that you won’t get knocked down into a “lesser” league because somebody with more crunching power passed you or someone else joined the team with more units than you.
It would give people a reachable goal too in that “only 100 more units and I can move up to the next league”.
Jedi Council / Super league — admission entry set by Wu count … say 50000
For lesser mortals …Premiership 25 , Division 1 onwards 50 per division as required
IMO its more fun if each league contains a fixed number of crunchers. That way you get to celebrate your tiffy separately from moving up a league. There is also more incentive to crunch harder to to stay in your league.
I got bumped from div 1 down into div 2 and I’m definately gonna get back up there.

Not too keen on the super league Jedi league though, seems as if we are giving too much keudos to a minority…not really what TPR is about surely ?
I saw it as moving the people with huge fire power, so the home crunchers can get look in, no disrespect to big hitters intended or to any mega home user

I see your point but that would ultimately put the top league out of reach for your average user, atleast if there is a fairly large Premier League, your average user will still be able to be a part of the top league, even if they wont ever be King of the castle :).
Either way it’s not that big an issue for me and will bow to the majority discision.
I guess its the same for everyone in different ways, but ATM you get to a point where, however hard you try, there is no progression, I’m not sure of the answer though I am trying to think of the best motivator for all members. Thats why I was also thinking of progression by Wu’s may work. But Hey I will go with the flow
